Winter Festivities at ETHS

East Troy Key Club hosted a pickleball tournament this week during resource leading up to the Winter Snowball Dance. Eight teacher-student teams competed in fierce matches to make it to the final Friday match-up. In the final, Mr. Vodnik and Teddy Busateri beat out Mr. Zolecki and Adam Schreiber for the championship win!

February is Career and Technical Education Month!

This month, we celebrate our CTE (Career and Technical Education) teachers and students! CTE supports students by exposing them to opportunities and skills as part of their preparation for college and careers.

National School Counseling Week


This week, we proudly recognize Ms. Boston, our School Counselor, during National School Counseling Week. Ms. Boston works diligently to support our students academically and socially. Her dedication to our school, students, and community is to be celebrated. Thank you, Ms. Boston.
 

Health Sciences Academy Students Visit College and Career Expo

The ETHS Health Sciences Academy students visited the Racine Gateway on Friday for a Health Sciences Expo. They were able to talk with Gateway, other colleges, hospitals, and representatives related to post-secondary options. It was an educational and fun trip to a beautiful Gateway campus on Lake Michigan.

CNA, SCN, and ECC Applications are due by March 1st, 2026 for the fall semester!

Students interested in taking coursework at a technical college, UW system college/university, and/or CNA here at ETHS - your paperwork is due by March 1st, 2026. The last day we are in school before March 1st is February 27th, 2026!

Earn Post-Secondary Credits at ETHS

Earn credits in HS that transfer to post-secondary institutions (4-year, 2-year, technical colleges) by taking classes at ETHS!

Advanced Placement (AP Courses) and Transcripted Credit Courses earn you high school credits that are recognized by post-secondary institutions for college credit. Take advantage of these courses when scheduling! See the video below for testimonials from 2025 ETHS Grads!

Coach Pluess named Head Football Coach

We are excited to announce Brian Pluess as our new Head Varsity Football Coach! Coach Pluess brings over 11 years of coaching experience at East Troy, working with wide receivers, quarterbacks, running backs, and offensive coordinator.

In addition to his coaching experience, Coach Pluess has served as the President of the Gridiron Club, demonstrating his commitment to leadership, community involvement, and support for football programs beyond the field.
Coach Pluess is passionate about developing disciplined, accountable, and fundamentally sound student-athletes, with a strong emphasis on character, academics, and team culture. His experience includes player development, offseason strength programs, youth camps, and building positive relationships with athletes, families, and staff.

Football Meeting for Students and Parents

High School Parents and Students,
There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, February 10th, at 6:00 PM in the High School Lecture Hall for any student-athletes who are interested in playing high school football next school year. We will introduce Coach Brian Pluess as the new Varsity Head Coach and discuss off-season and summer plans for the upcoming year. Both parents and students should attend this meeting.
