Special District Guests: DPI State Leadership Visiting Friday, Jan. 23rd
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,
We are incredibly excited to announce that on Friday, January 23rd, the East Troy Community School District will host guests from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
Deputy State Superintendent Tom McCarthy and Assistant State Superintendent Sara Knueve will both be visiting Prairie View Elementary and the East Troy Middle School to participate in "Around the World in 80 Trays."
Why They Are Visiting
Our Food Service Director, Andrea Schinke, was recognized in 2025 as the DPI School Nutrition Superhero of the Month for January. We are honored that the state office has chosen our district specifically to witness the incredible work she and the food service team are doing during "Around the World in 80 Trays."
Schedule of Events
Our guests will be observing this event, which celebrates international flavors in school lunches, at the following times:
- Prairie View Elementary: Lunch with our 3rd-grade students.
- East Troy Middle School: Joining our second lunch period at 12:03 PM.
Photos and Media
Please be aware that our visitors plan to take photos and video throughout the day to highlight the success of our food service program and the engagement of our students.
We are so proud of our food service team and look forward to showcasing the great things happening in our schools. If you have any questions regarding this visit, please feel free to reach out to your building principal.
