ETHS hosted Audra Rothwell, the Department Head of Collaborative Programs and Student Advisor for the School of Nursing at Edgewood University. Our students learned that Edgewood has a collaborative program with UWW-Rock County to offer a Bachelor's of Nursing degree at Rock County, making this 4-year degree a convenient and affordable option to many students in this area. Prior to this program, students in our area who were interested in nursing have had to relocate to earn a BSN, or attend a 2-year Associate's program through a technical college (which often times have a waiting list for their nursing program). Edgewood's collaboration allows students to take their general education requirements at UW Whitewater and/or UWW-Rock County and then attend Edgewood's nursing courses at UWW-RC, making it a convenient and cost-effective option.
Students interested in nursing, including our Health Sciences Pathway, attended this informational session. If you have questions or would like additional information, please contact Ms. Boston at bosdom@easttroy.k12.wi.us.
