Extra-Curricular Activities

The East Troy Community School District strives to create a positive environment in which all students are inspired and challenged.  There are many extra-curricular opportunities at East Troy where students have a chance to meet new people, make new friends, achieve personal growth, and develop new skills. 

Chess Club   Calling all game players!!  Chess is a great game designed to develop your thinking skills.  Chess club starts in April and is offered through Afterschool Enrichment Solutions.  This six week program is geared to teach beginners through advanced level play. Check (mate) it out!  Contact the school office for specific dates and cost.

Coding Club Mr. Beierle Coding club meets once a week after school for 6 weeks.  Coding club is designed to introduce 5th grade students to the world of basic programming and javascript development.  With the support of their teacher, students write simple to complex computer codes that interact with software applications.

Homework Club Mrs. Hamele This teacher recommended program represents a collaborative effort between the home, school and East Troy Family Community Resource Center.  Students in this free program attend Monday and Wednesdays throughout the school year. Homework club provides students a supportive environment to complete projects or classroom assignments.

Introduction to Robotics   The East Troy Public Library and the East Troy Family Community Resource Center have teamed up to offer students in grades 3-5 basic instruction in the construction and programming of WeDo robots.   Students are highly engaged and excited to explore this hands-on approach to learning.

Introduction to Spanish   The East Troy School District recognizes the importance of Global Literacy and cultural competence.  As such, this course is offered to all students wanting to learn more about the Hispanic/Latino culture and basics of the Spanish language.  This course runs after school for students grade 1-5.  

Lego Club Mrs. Kraklow This class offers students a fun, supportive environment to create different designs and models.  Students proudly display their work on our library shelves.  This course is open to 3rd grade students in six week sessions.


Ski Club

Open to all 5th grade students. Registration is in late fall/early winter

Stage Stars   Do you want to be a Star?  Do you enjoy performing in front of your friends or families?  Join the Stage Stars club offered by Afterschool Enrichment Solutions.  Students of all ages learn the basics of acting, drama and stage presence.  At the end of the six week program, students prepare a skit for enthusiastic audience members.

Youth Choir Mr. Trader
East Troy Area Youth Choirs exist to fill the need for yourger children to experience the joy of singing together in a choir.  There are two choirs, grouped by age as follows: 
Young Beginners - for grades 2-3
Intermediate Singers - for grades 4-6
Registration is in the fall.
