Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS)

Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) builds on the positive behaviors already working in each school. These behaviors then become expectations that are taught and practiced school-wide.  PBIS schools have created a more positive environment for students and staff by establishing clear expectations for their students and taking active steps in teaching, modeling and reinforcing appropriate behaviors school wide.

East Troy High School's 1st Class Philosophy

The school-wide process emphasizes the creation of systems that support the adoption and durable implementation of evidence-based practices and procedures, which aligns with school improvement efforts and effects student learning. Our 1st Class interactive approach includes opportunities to correct and improve by focusing on systems, data, practices and outcomes to improve every student’s behavioral and academic success.
