Get Involved

Come to the PTO meetings!  One hour per month is all it takes to find out all the things going on in our schools.

  • Meetings are brief, child care is provided, and we discuss upcoming events.
  • Have a concern? Principals and teachers attend the meetings, come ask.
  • Have an idea? - We love new ideas come share
  • Love what the PTO offers to the schools & children?

Volunteer to help in the schools!  We are only able to provide all of the wonderful events through the support of the community. Please volunteer to keep these opportunities available for years to come.

How to get involved:

  1. Click here to fill out the Volunteer form for the schools.
  2. Either sign-up during the district's annual online registration or email our volunteer coordinator with name, contact information and your interests.

What We Do For Students, Staff and Families

Fine Arts Programs - PTO provides funds for various Fine Arts Programs. Some students have their first experience with live entertainment, a symphony, or an opera because of the funding from PTO.

Folders and Calendar Magnets - PTO provides each student with a Go-Home Folder at the beginning of the year that is used daily by the teachers. We also supply families with Calendar Magnets with important dates for elementary students printed on them.

Hooked on Fishing - PTO sponsors the 5th grade fishing field trip, 4th grade trip to the trout farm and a 3rd grade trip to the zoo as part of the Hooked on Fishing curriculum.

PBIS - PTO helps support PBIS through helping fund school-wide celebrations, classroom celebrations, t-shirts, signage, literature, etc.

Playground Equipment - PTO provides funds to purchase Playground Equipment, as the budget allows.

Reading Comes Alive Week - PTO sponsors the educational entertainment during Reading Comes Alive week.

Holiday Shopper - Holiday Shopper is for grade school students to have a safe, family friendly place to purchase holiday gifts for their family.

Field Day - Field Days is an end of year celebration emphasizing physical games and activities. The PTO organizes and provides the refreshments and a snack.

Vehicle Day - PTO provides a refreshment for the volunteers who donate their time to share their profession or hobby having to do with any type of vehicle with the youngest children in our district.

Pumpkin Carving & Walk - Each year ETE PTO in cooperation with Camp Timber Lee organizes the annual pumpkin carving & walk. Grades 3-5 carve pumpkins. Grade 2 creates paper bag luminaries.  The pumpkins and luminaries are displayed at Camp Timber Lee's annual pumpkin walk.  The walk is free and open to the public.

Book Fairs - The ETE PTO holds two book fairs per school each year. At each fair the children recieve a FREE book from the ETE PTO. That's 2 free books a year per child!  The book fair also holds special events such as: Grand Pick up and Family Nights...Check out the calendar for dates & times.

Birthday Celebrations - Each month volunteers hand out ice-cream to those with a birthday that month.

Staff Appreciation - PTO provides the main course for the dinners and organizes the meal on conference days for the staff at both schools.  The PTO also donates money to teachers to purchase items for their classrooms.
