Fab Lab

Governor Walker's Press Release Concerning Fab Lab Grants >

East Troy is one of only a few school districts in the State to have a certified Fab Lab.

East Troy High School is working toward becoming certified as a Fab Lab (Fabrication Laboratory).  As of 2015, the state of Wisconsin has seven Fab Labs.  Fab Labs support STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), but more importantly; these labs support creativity and innovation.  A Fab Lab houses 3D printers, vinyl cutters, laser cutters and engravers, milling machine computer guided router, etc.  The goal is to provide all students access to the tools that educate and supports innovation and thereby creates opportunities to improve lives and livelihoods around the world by planning, designing, and producing.

It is the goal of the East Troy School District to provide high quality learning environments that expose all of our children to these critical areas of learning - (critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration and content) and the most updated equipment that will support them as they learn, undo their learning, and relearn.
