Enrollment for New Students

We are excited you are considering enrolling your child(ren) in our schools.  We take great pride in our constant effort to provide an educational environment promoting personalized education that accomplishes a year of learning growth for every child, every year, and promoting strong student engagement. Any student attending the East Troy Community School District must reside within the established boundaries of the district except as otherwise provided by state law or board policy, a tuition student, or admitted under open enrollment.

  • A student must be four years old on or before September 1 to enroll in 4 year Kindergarten
  • A student must be five years old on or before September 1 to enroll in Kindergarten
  • A student must be six years old on or before September 1 to enroll in 1st grade
  • In limited and specific circumstances, a child whose birth date does not meet the date requirements set forth above may apply to the Board for early admission.  Applicants for early admission must meet standards, conditions, and procedures adopted by the Board.  The guidelines can be found in the board policy 421.

    You can obtain a copy of your child's birth certificate from the Register of Deeds in the county that your child was born in.

  • Health Information Form
  • Immunization Form
  • Child's Age Verified (original of one of the following presented - no copies will be accepted or made):
    • Birth Certificate
    • Current Passport
    • State ID or Driver's License
  • Proof of Residency (one of the following):
    • Lease Agreement with current address, names of people residing at the address, effective date and all parties signatures.
    • Current Utility Bill (within 45 days); gas, electric, cable, or city/village water with name and current address.
    • Home Purchase Agreement or Offer to Purchase with the name of buyer and seller, and current address.
    • Recent correspondence from a governmental entity with the name and current address. (I.E. Tax bill, assessment letter, department of motor vehicles.)
    • Recent correspondence on a wage statement or W2 year-end earnings statement with name and current address.
    • Affidavit of Residency (District Form) if residing with district resident.
    • Exceptions may be made for a homeless student (as defined in the McKinney-Vento Act).
  • Court Documentation for Custody Issues, if applicable

*If enrolling for the following school year, requirement can be completed online during annual registration in August.
