US News & World Report has recognized East Troy High School on its annual list of the top high schools in Wisconsin.

US News & World Report has recognized East Troy High School on its annual list of the top high schools in Wisconsin.  East Troy, which ranked 46th on the list, scored above the Wisconsin average in both reading and math proficiency, as well as college readiness. In 2015, East Troy was ranked 24th on the list and in 2013, East Troy was ranked 29th on the list.

East Troy is the first in the State to have SmartLabs™

Beginning the 2016-17 school year, the East Troy Community School District has a certified SmartLab™ in Prairie View Elementary and the East Troy Middle School.  When the new K4-2 building opens for the 2017-18 school year, it will also contain a certified SmartLab™.

East Troy is one of only a few school districts in the State to have a certified Fab Lab

East Troy High School is working toward becoming certified as a Fab Lab (Fabrication Laboratory).  As of 2015, the state of Wisconsin has seven Fab Labs.  Fab Labs support STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), but more importantly; these labs support creativity and innovation.

Excellence in Music

  • The Jazz Ensemble placed 1st at state for 7 years in a row.
  • Band students traveled to Florida and participated in creating a sound track at Disney Studios.
  • Middle school band and choir student earned more than 300 medals at the WSMA District Solo Ensemble Festival.  
  • The High School Choir traveled to New York City to perform at Carnegie Hall in the spring of 2015.

PBIS Award Winning Schools

Leona Doubek Elementary and Prairie View Elementary Schools were named Schools of Distinction and the East Troy Middle School was named School of Merit by the Wisconsin PBIS network for the 2015-16 school year!  Leona Doubek Elementary has earned this title for three years in a row!

2016 High School Girls Cross Country Champions

East Troy girls Cross Country won the 2016 Division 2 team championship for the first time in school history with all five runners finishing in the top 33.

Connecting Families and Community

We strive to increase current connections with young families that develop and foster relationships between the school district and parents/guardians, to ensure physical, social/emotional/behavioral, motor and cognitive developmental milestones* are being reach by all children aged 0 – 4, to maximize the school district’s ability to provide a year plus of learning growth each year a child attends school in the East Troy Community School District.

1:1 Technology Program

We are proud to announce that beginning the 2015-16 school year, the District began integrating technology by creating a 2:1 environment for students in grades 4K-2 and a 1:1 environment for students in grades 3-12. Technology integration provides students and teachers with access to a variety of tools and affords the opportunity to create a deeper understanding of content.

Rigorous and Relevant Courses

Throughout their elementary years, students have the opportunity to explore a variety of regions of the world and develop an understanding and respect for cultures, traditions and customs.  In addition, students will engage in project-based learning.  Exciting new offerings at the middle school level include world languages, world cultures and robotics.  At the high school, students have an opportunity to pursue Accelerated Biology, Accelerated Geometry, AP Psychology and Project Lead the Way's Principle of Engineering and Introduction to Engineering.
